BASKETS Season 4 has premiered on FX, featuring music by Joshua Moshier. Indiewire writes, “The show is as funny and heartfelt as ever, but appears to have hopped onto the bullet train of hope along with Chip.” The 10-episode season will be broadcast over summer 2019. BASKETS is directed by Jonathan Krisel and stars Zach Galifianakis & Louie Anderson.
Joshua Moshier has composed the score to SPECIAL, a Netflix series based on the memoir I'm Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves (2015) by Ryan O'Connell, who also stars, writes, and executive produces the series along with director Anna Dokoza and Jim Parsons’ That’s Wonderful Productions.
The U.S. Army Field Band debuted Joshua’s original composition A PORTRAIT OF HONOR on a concert tour titled “Soundtrack of the American Soldier,” alongside pieces from Laura Karpman, Jeff Beal, Mark Isham, Joseph DeBeasi and Tim Simonec. The works have been recorded by the Field Band at Skywalker Sound and are due for release in the coming year.
Joshua has scored the Adult Swim pilot THREE BUSY DEBRAS, starring and created by Sandy Honig, Mitra Jouhari and Alyssa Stonoha, and directed by Anna Dokoza for Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions. Also coming up is A24’s MOONBASE 8 starring Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and John C. Reilly, for which Joshua has contributed additional music.
Coming September 27 to Sky One is the new series SICK OF IT, from Richard Yee & Karl Pilkington, the team behind AN IDIOT ABROAD and THE MOANING OF LIFE. Featuring original music by Joshua Moshier, SICK OF IT is a scripted comedy that sees Karl Pilkington take on two roles – himself, and the voice inside his head, as he muddles through the mundane life he may have led if he hadn't met Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
From co-creators Jonathan Krisel and Zach Galifianakis, season 3 of BASKETS is now streaming on FXNOW, with an original score by Joshua Moshier.
